Reverend: Andre Christian

My Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

On July 14, 2022, appointed Reverend Andre Christian to serve the good people of 1st A.M.E. Church of Alexandria in Alexandria, Virginia. 

Prior to assuming his current role, he served as a Executive Minister at Greater Mount Nebo African Methodist Episcopal Church under the Pastoral leadership of Reverend Dr. Jonathan L. Weaver. In this role, he assists Pastor Weaver in overseeing 40  ministries focused on local missions, outreach, evangelism, and day-to-day church operations. Reverend Christian also serves as Vice-Chair of the Stewardship and Finance Commission and participates in the Audio-Visual Ministry, Strategic Planning Committee of the Church, and Music Ministry. Andre previously served on the board of trustees and youth ministry of the church.

He has been a leader in the banking industry for 22 years. He has led teams throughout Maryland, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia. Reverend Christian has led teams with organizations such as Bank of America, Capital One, and Industrial Bank. 

The Lord placed it in Andre’s spirit years ago to one day start a business to help churches, businesses, and individuals with strategic plans and managing finances. In 2016 Andre followed the direction given and started Christian Consulting and has begun helping businesses and churches in various capacities to become more efficient and effective with the resources given.

Andre is a graduate of Howard University School of Business and graduated from Payne Theological Seminary in May 2020 with a Master of Divinity Degree and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Consulting, and Coaching at Concordia University, Irvine, CA.

Andre’s favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 and truly believes that despite what it may look like, the Lord has great plans for him, God’s people, and for the world in which we live.
